"XAS Research Review 2nd Issue " opened

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the second issue of the web magazine XAS Research Review is now open for access. Currently we plan to publish the magazine on a quaternary basis. We look forward to hearing from you about any suggestions and recommendations on the topics and specific fields to be covered by the future issues. We also welcome your articles.
Although the number of registered members already exceeded 900, considering the huge number of researchers involved in XAS and related fields, even this number is a modest estimation, or may not represent the whole community. Let us reflect the community by increasing the number of registered members to further push forward our activities. We appreciate if you ask your colleagues and friends who have not registered yet to join the society.
We would like to remind you that the deadline for XAFS16 (2015) Proposal is September 1, 2010. Any member who wishes to organize XAFS16 is kindly requested to send the required documents the IXAS Chair by the deadline.
The IXAS will strengthen the ties with the IUCr XAFS Commission (Chaired by Isabella Ascone). Information on the jointly organized activities will be put on the IXAS web.
